 just fresh seasonal flowers grown on our own land near the sea in Norfolk.

 I am a small scale flower grower, I grow varieties which are seasonal and which do not need artificial heat and protection.

I will be constantly trialling different flowers in an effort to bring you something different. For too long now ,the choice of cut flowers has been what the florist stocks and that has been confined to imported blooms chosen for their ability to pack and travel well.This generally limits your choice to Chrysanthemums,Carnations and Lillies. Old favourites like the ones your Granny grew such as Nigella and Campanulas just dont lend themselves to travelling and therefore are unlikely to be seen at your local florist.What you will see are flowers grown in far flung regions of the world, transported thousands of miles greatly contributing to global warming.

Consumers are now taking an interest in where their food and flowers come from and are starting to source products locally, however the British cut flower industry is in tatters after years of domination by Dutch and other world producers.90% of the flowers bought in the UK are foreign grown.These flowers are mass produced and rely heavily on the use of chemicals.

 Fortunately an expanding group of small scale growers are emerging from the ruins and once again British cut flowers are beginning to become available.

My passion is growing flowers and I hope to bring to you over the next few years an increasingly wide variety of cut material ,wether flowers ,bulbs or shrubs grown following organic principles and which I hope you will enjoy.
